The Ask -
In light of the recent movements in Washington, including a closed-door Senate meeting with AI industry experts on Thursday, we’re back recording another episode of Digital Heresy that will likely drop tomorrow evening.
To prep for this - and because they are both worth listening to - I want to humbly ask you, dear reader, to lend me 80 min of your time spread across two pieces of content, as they each touch on the core concepts emerging in the AI Regulatory space right now.
These are concepts that we’ve been discussing on here since… well, since February… when this publication began pre-advocating for Freedom of Information in Gen AI, and I think we’re about to see the rollout of a dystopic version of this future.
Primer A - (44 min listen)
The first exhibit on our agenda for tomorrow will be based on topics covered directly and indirectly here:

Primer B (36 min listen)
Juxtaposed here, Bill Gurley gives us a walkthrough of what will likely happen when we answer Tristan and Aza’s ultimate question on the UA Podcast: “What would it take for this to go well?”
Except, you see, “Go well for who?”, is the real $2 trillion dollar question.
